I never used to think much about this holiday in the past but the last month I have really been looking forward to it this year. I've been trying to be more mindful of what I am grateful for everyday. To help me with this, I've started keeping a gratitude journal and throughout the day I just write down things that I am grateful for. For example the first thing I write down every day is that I am grateful for waking up. Another one I am usually writing down lately is that I am grateful for being able to workout because my body is well and strong enough to do so. And so on. Then at night I read over that list before I go to bed and write down anything else I can think of. You can also just think about what you had to be grateful for that day and write it all down before you go to bed then read your list if that's more convenient for you. For me it's easier to write things down as they happen. Doing this has really helped me change my attitude about my life, especially right now as I'm going through some really tough times. I really REALLY recommend keeping a gratitude journal guys! Try it, even if only for a week and see how it affects you.
